Today I purchased BANS (build-a-niche store) that lets you create a niche ebay store. I've purchased a few domains to set it up as well - while I'm still tweaking it a bit, I have it mostly set up.
For those of you running BANS, have you had success with it? What would you recommend for somone just starting out? How did you promote it? PPC or organically?

BANS (http://www.buildanichestore.com) is software that basically lets you pull data from ebay RSS feeds. You can organize content, pages, menus, categories, etc. through their software. You sign up with Commission Junction and become an ebay affiliate and collect commissions from sales ebay makes through your site.

How cool! I guess I'm spoiled by open source like Joomla, but I'd be willing to purchase the software. Maybe since all my sites are television related, I can do a site for the greatest deals on TV series on DVD.

Just a brief update - i haven't contributed as much time as I would like to my BANS sites, but the money is *slowly* beginning to trickle in.

Congrats, Daniel. I may need to check BANS out for myself as I am not familiar with it.

It's going okay. Not quite as well as I'd like, but not poorly, either. I'm currently making about $100/month from one BANS site and a few dollars from some others. I've recently refocused my efforts on a particular BANS site of mine and am concentrating on building back links and optimizing that site daily.
There are some people making four and five figure incomes from this software. I'm confident that the BANS software can be a valuable way of earning monthly revenue. I just haven't hit a solid income from it yet.
