I am curious to know what you use for the name of all of your staff usergroups. For example, do you just keep the as the forum's default (ie: administrators, super moderators, moderators), or do you get creative with it and use synonyms and forum-specific words?

I myself generally try to change them and use words that are directly related to my forum's name. I would prefer something like, "ForumName Founder", rather than the plain, "Administrator."

On mine, its just Administrator (just me) than Moderators.

Fireboard is fairly new software and doesn't have renaming staff groups yet. Though I do like that its quite clear that its me that runs the forum and that the moderators are in positions of authority as well.

On my forum I've made the group names related to our topic, RollerCoaster Tycoon - so they're based around theme parks. So, for instance, the Administrators group is "Management," the Super Moderators group is "Security Guards," and the technical-sided group would be "Mechanics." Unfortunately, we only have Management right now :p

On my forum I've made the group names related to our topic

Most of mine we do the same too.
We have a sims site so it's baby, toddler...etc for members.
For staff we go with education titles....
On a UO site we went with custom titles for what is used in game.

I use the default. I don't have any moderators of specific forums, just super moderators.

Well Forumname founder many times would not make sense. I've had forums where I end up eventually having an admin which had absolutely nothing to do with founding the site but nevertheless proved to not only be an active member but also worked his way up the ladder from mod-supermod to eventually being promoted to an admin.

And mind you I don't give admin out easily, but when forums start getting larger then you do need right hand men to do stuff when you are not around.

In any case I typically leave them as-is since it is named properly. A moderator is a moderator, a super moderator I suppose could be named to "global moderator" but I prefer super and an admin is really just that, an administrator of the site/forum.

I suppose you could dub the admin usergroup a System Operator or sysop.

Mine are the defaults as well.

However, my members' user titles are relative to our subject.
